A break for the Ethiopian coffee

Spending hours and hours confined at an airport can put a damper on anyone’s mood. For travelers connecting from 6 am at the Addis Ababa airport, this wait is a little more pleasant.

This is because whoever is in transit through the city is entitled to a city tour through the political capital of Africa. The tour includes visits to tourist attractions in the city, such as the National Museum and souvenir shops, as well as an Ethiopian coffee tasting.

The courtesy is from the state group Ethiopian Airlines, which also manages the airport. The company wants to take advantage of the huge flow of passengers in transit from the airport to strengthen Ethiopia’s tourism and consolidate Addis Ababa as one of the most important destinations on the African continent.

“We are pleased to offer free offers to our passengers in global transit so that they can savor every moment and experience the true taste of Addis Ababa during their brief stay,” explains Tewolde GebreMariam, CEO of the Ethiopian group.
