The second humanitarian team sent by the Brazilian government to assist the victims of tropical cyclones Idai and Kenneth, who arrived in the country in March and April of this year, is already in Mozambique. Twenty-nine military personnel, all members of the National Public Security Force (FNSP) and the Minas Gerais State Military Fire Brigade, will work in emergency actions in the provinces of Sofala and Cabo Delgado until June 7. They will be coordinated by Mozambican authorities and UN agencies.

First results
The first Brazilian humanitarian team sent to Mozambique arrived in Brazil on Monday (7). 40 soldiers left on April 1st to work on humanitarian actions in Mozambique. Thousands of cyclone victims benefited from search and rescue operations, distribution of basic food baskets and vaccines, clearing of access roads in remote places and the construction of two bridges and tents for displaced persons.
Brazilian humanitarian aid to Mozambique is being coordinated by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
