Energy Summit meets to discuss innovations in West Africa

About 300 people, including investors, project leaders, and public service stakeholders, will meet at the fourth edition of the RES: West summit in Senegal in December. The objective of the summit is to present the latest developments for universal access to energy in West Africa.

“As we continually strive to promote the development and integration of African energy systems through grid interconnection, we also ensure that the energy resource pool is a favorable approach for the entire market,” said Abel Didier Tella, Managing Director, African Energy Utilities Association (APUA).

APUA will be a partner in holding the meeting that will be organized by the company EnergyNet, which is responsible for conferences and events on the subject. In addition to APUA, official partners endorsing the summit include Agence Nationale pour les Energies Renouvelables (ANER) and energy companies SENELEC and REA, along with Strategic Partners Fieldstone Africa and DLA Piper.

The 4th Annual Regional Energy Summit: West Africa (RES: West) will be held from 2 to 3 December 2019. This is the first time the event has been held in Dakar, Senegal.
