From July 22 to August 4, the first “Egyptian Cultural Festival” will take place in São Paulo.
The cultural festival will include a mini Pharonic museum, handcraft bazar, food stands from Egyptian cuisine, henna Tattoo, writing names in Arabic, Arabic language and handwriting classes, Egyptian bedwin tent, workshops on various Egyptian cultural and historical aspects, folkloric presentations, Egyptian movie night, Egyptian song night, and Egyptian live music night.
Simultaneously, the commercial office of the Egyptian embassy in Brazil is organizing for the first time the first national day celebration (July 23), a national holiday in the country. The event will take place simultaneously with the festival.
There will be also an art exhibition featuring Egyptian artists from different parts of the world. The art exhibition is composed of 4 Egyptian artists from 4 different countries on 4 different continents, presenting 100 paintings. One of them is Neda Badran, who currently resides in Brazil.
Mohamed Elkhatib, Egypt commercial consul in Brazi says “It aims at bringing people together through culture, history, and civilization. Letting Brazilians know more about Egypt and its importance, and promoting Brazilian tourism to Egypt”
