BAF 2019: South African Airways announced as official event airline

South African Airways (SAA) was announced on Tuesday (22) as the official airline of the Brazil Africa Forum 2019. With the theme Food Security: path to economic growth, the event should bring together about 300 representatives in Sao Paulo, interested in doing business involving Brazil and African countries.

Brazil is today SAA’s main hub in Latin America and represents 6% of its global operation. In Brazil, the company has codeshare with Gol, and through partnerships and other agreements, connects South America to 57 African and nine international destinations.

SAA’s first flight to Brazil took place in October 1969 between Johannesburg and Rio de Janeiro. In November 1995, the company started flights to Sao Paulo.
