Brazil declares support for Guinea-Bissau’s Prime Minister Aristides Gomes

The Brazilian government issued an official note on Tuesday (5) in support of the Guinea-Bissau government headed by Prime Minister Aristides Gomes. President José Mário Vaz dismissed Prime Minister Aristides Gomes from the government in a presidential decree signed on October 28. The move was taken three weeks before the vote to choose the new president, scheduled for November 24.
