The United Nations (UN) is promoting a global conversation about the role of international cooperation in building the future we want. The initiative, called Dialogue UN75, celebrates the institution’s anniversary – which will be 75 years old in 2020. Part of the conversation will include face-to-face events in all corners of the planet and begins with an online survey.
“NO COMMUNITY IS ABLE TO SOLVE THE COMPLEX PROBLEMS OF OUR WORLD ALONE”
The one-minute questionnaire is available in 41 languages. The responses should help to improve the international management of global issues that require cooperation across borders, sectors and generations.
The research wants to know how people imagine the world 25 years from now. Among the questions are what global trends may affect our future, what is the importance of international cooperation and what advice can be given to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, to deal with these issues.
The results will be presented to world leaders and UN leaders in New York on September 21, 2020.
